UD D2 takes down Hawks

The University of Delaware D2 team defeated St. Joe's University last night in Gold Arena by the score of 7-2.  UD's win takes the team to a record of 3-5 and also brings them to their second conference win this season.

The highlight of this game was the tandem goaltending of Brandon Smith and recent team addition, UD D2 women's goaltender Brie Scolaro.  Smith held down the net until the 3rd period when Scolaro inherited a 6-1 lead. Scolaro faced a number of shots as she saw only one minute of even strength time while between the pipes.

UD Hockey returns to the ice tonight at Loucks Ice Arena in Lawrenceville, NJ as they take on the Lions of The College of New Jersey in a non-conference match-up.
